Senior Spotlight: Krayleon Winston Sr. from Jackson, MS

Krayleon Winston, from right here in Jackson has been a big reason for our success this season. He provides leadership on and off the floor. He gives us the ability to have someone to provide instant offense when he comes in the game. As a defender he usually is assigned to one of the other team’s top scorers.

Krayleon played at Wingfield HS and then played at Hinds CC. After practice, before practice, between classes you can find Krayleon working on his ball handling or on his game somehow.

His persistence has paid off and allowed him to have such a good college career and a good senior season this year. He has made big plays for us on both ends of the floor throughout the season.

By his work ethic he has set the bar high for our younger players in the program. They see now how hard they have to work to improve their game. Krayleon has made his mark and impact on our program in a positive way that will be around for years to come.
